The Ridgeback Rodeo is held in Pennsylvania at the TerraCotta Kennels on Scattergun Reserve property. This event is for any and all Ridgebacks; ridged, ridgeless, RR mixed, etc. The property is owned by Eric and Karen Watson and this is the 5th year they welcomed everyone to their home for three days of fun, good food and socializing. There are dozens of activities for Ridgebacks and their owners to enjoy many of which titles can be awarded. All proceeds from the event go toward Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue.

We set up camp with plenty of room to wrestle and play.

Dyna shows off the rear of our hauler and our sleeping arrangements.

Newby thinks this camping is "cool" and refreshes himself by standing in front of the fan!

Randi loved running though our camper: in the door and down the ramp. They entertained many other campers by their antics.

Randi and Newby wonder, "Hey, what's moving in next door to us?"

Wow, it's the sheep. This should be fun!

Oh, yes. This is Margo at the rodeo.

Dyna shows how to round up the sheep with great enthusiasm.

Dyna does a great job.

And this is Margo again at the rodeo.

Now it is Newby's turn. To our surprise, he turned out to be a natural at it. He was very gentle and enjoyed it so much!

If a sheep got separated, he helped encourage it back to the pack. The handler said this was the most enjoyable session she had.

Newby passed his HIC with capital "P". The handler never had to stop him. She could always walk with the sheep without worrying about Newby getting too close or nipping.

It's a lot of work being a ridgeback at the rodeo! We made sure they had all the comforts of home.

Princess Randi watches all the other ridgebacks.

Dyna is now a Junior Hunting Small Game (JHSM) and Junior Carriage Dog (JCD). Good girl, Dyna. She loved it!

Margo also is now a Junior Hunting Small Game (JHSM). She also got her Temperament Test (TT).

The sheep had to go home on Saturday but someone else took their place. Randi and Newby are wondering what is this? Why, it is a horse!

Oh, oh, He's looking at us. Newby liked him but Randi was a bit overwhelmed by his size.

Newby passed his Canine Good Citizen test (CGC). Look out, that lion might get you!

Newby isn't fazed by that lion.

Saturday night was the second bonfire and they set it up by our campsite. We all watched the flames while listening to a little jazz on our CD player.

Margo said she is totally exhausted. But we all had a great time and each and every one of our Ridgebacks participated in many of the activities the rodeo provided.
